Oh Sheldon!

So I was browsing 9gag the other day and I stumbled upon this masterpiece. Whoever made this, I will find you and I will marry you. Unless you're a girl then...Good job! [Shakes hand then awkwardly moonwalks away] O_O

The moment I finished reading I decided to make an amigurumi of the tiny dinosaur? Turtle? Snail...Wait a minute! What is  that thing? O_O Well, whatever it is it's adorable and I have to make an amigurumi of it. I had tons of projects lined up but I pushed it all aside to make way for this cutie. Seriously! Look at those sweet, tiny eyes... You'd be like an abominable snowman to not "Awww!". ^3^

The pattern took me only less than a day to figure out so in a manner of speaking, I'd say this was Achievement Unlocked. Hahaha ^^

The banana is locally grown in my country (Philippines) called "Latundan", so it's a bit smaller than usual. Just thought I should mention... I don't wanna start an online commotion with people wondering what alien banana I was holding. Hehehe ^^

Contrary to what most people say, reading joke and meme sites aren't a total waste of time. Obviously, this cutie-amigurumi proves that. But of course, too much of the good stuff is a bad thing, so moderation is still best. ^^

Miku-Miku

I was supposed to do this amigurumi project in December as a Christmas gift to a friend, but he abruptly had to go away so I decided to make this as a last minute parting gift instead. Awww... (T.T) 

Anyway, I came to find out he's a Miku Hatsune nut. So obviously, I had to make him his own amigurumi version of the blue-haired Vocaloid. Well, I'm not exactly sure what's his stand on receiving dolls as gifts, so I opted to make Miku in teeny-tiny size. I guess that seemed manlier. Hahaha! ^^

For the base I used  Silvia Usón's chibi pattern. I believe I used this for the Japanese version of Tinkerbell last year. Remember? My gift to my second eldest brother? I thought that really turned out cute. ^^

Since I needed to make a tinier version, of course I had to use a smaller hook, which was quite the challenge for me. Well, other than I'm used to big hooks, my hands are pretty large. Well, not exactly man-hands but I guess unusually big for Filipina standards. Actually, with a height of 5'4.5'', I'm practically considered a giant here. Yeesh! O_o

Godzilla-Kun!!!

So I watched the reboot movie of Godzilla a week after its release and I say, it did not disappoint. It was hands-down awesome, it just blew my mind. OMG! The Godzilla vs. Muto smack-down was out of this world. Man! I so love monster movies. The bigger, the better!!! Rawr!!! Hahaha! 


Anyway,  with the Godzilla hangover I've been doodling

the kawaii version of the classic monster. Yah, you heard me right... Kawaii version. Well, he was really fierce in the movie but if you take a good look at him... He actually seems adorable. Those chubby-wubby wegs, cutie-patootie big eyes, and shkewy-wewy roars. Aww! So cute. 

Hmm... Maybe I do have a problem... Nah! ^^

Eventually, I got tired of the doodles and decided to create an amigurumi version of Godzilla. If it was possible and would not kill me in the long run, I'd make him in life-size form. Seriously! I'd go for it if I could stop time and turn my hands into steel so I wouldn't bleed to death. How awesome could that be? An amigurumi of Godzilla as big as a building... Whoah! So. Want! Hahaha!
