Speed of Sound Sonic

This past week I've received so much love for the Saitama (OnePunch-Man) amigurumi I made for my little brother that I got all fired up and finished Speed of Sound Sonic in less than 3 days. Actually, I would've finished much sooner if I didn't have to redo the sword and hair. So I was pretty much like speed of sound sonic myself. Hehehe ^^

But seriously, I can't express how much it means to me when my amigurumis get noticed and praised. They're like my own children... Tiny children made out of yarn and born from my brain with dashed sprinkles of love. Wait... What? That just got weird. O_O

Anyway, I'd just like to give a shout out to all those who shared Saitama (OnePunch-Man) to twitter, facebook, and other social media sites... I can't thank you enough for appreciating my humble work and spreading the word. I will not let you down and continue to do my best in making more OnePunch-Man amigurumis. ^^

Materials:

Monaco Yarn Shade #100 - Raven (1-2 skeins)

Monaco Yarn Shade #99 - Fossil (1 skein)

Monaco Yarn Shade #24 - Grape (1 skein)
Monaco Yarn Shade #60 - Sugar Cookie (1 skein)

Crochet Hook - 7 (4.5 mm)

Felt cloth:

       - Black

       - White

       - Grey

Small black buttons
Fiberfill stuffing

HEAD

*Use black thread to embroider  facial details
*Cut out eyes from white felt cloth and draw in details
*With transparent nail polish, brush a little on the eyes so that the details won't get rubbed off 
*Leave it to dry then glue on the face

*Attach the fringes to each side of the triangular part of the scarf

*Tie it around Speed of Sound Sonic's neck 

*Make sure it's centered

For the hair, I had to use the technique found in Angela Juarez's doll pattern. It's a bit tricky but I guarantee that it's worth doing since it's the closest thing you could do to make his hair look like the one in Manga.

I had to do this twice so make sure you have more than enough black felt. ^^

When I finished Speed of Sound Sonic, other than my brother, Saitama was really thrilled. 

Well, they may have the hero-villain set-up, but deep inside I know they're the best of friends. Aww! ^^
