My 'Ego!!!

So my little nephew, that sugar-high bouncing ball of red bull energy, just celebrated his 4th birthday and his dearest wish was to have lots of "Egos". Yah... He still has that cute baby speech defect so his pronunciation of Lego is still funky. Hahaha! Originally, I wanted to give him a large Baymax doll, but since he seems pretty caught up on those Lego thingies I decided to grant him his wish... In gigantor Lego brick style. Woo-hoo! ^o^

To make such a humongous Lego I used a bigger hook and tons of yarn, once again crocheting in dual-skeins. You'd think it's easy making a simple cuboid (Apparently that's the technical term for "3D" rectangle O_O), but IT'S NOT, as in NOT at all. >_< Not only did the repetition almost drove me insane, but it was brutal on my hands. Owie! T_T But for my sweet, darling nephew it's a sacrifice I'm willing to take... The little monster! Hahaha! XD

Here's my leg for size...
For those who are not aware that I use my leg to approximate the height of a big gurumi project... Well, there you have it; a most unconventional way to measure. Hahaha! Like what I said when I approximated the giant Nemo, I'm 5'4.5" in height. FYI, I'm one of those people that have short torsos so most of my height originates from my legs. Yah, with that much legs I could've been a model. Sigh! Cruel, cruel world... Hahaha! XD

Anyway, this project was a major pain in the "A" double "S" but so worth it after my nephew received his gift. Well, at first he kicked it (The little turd!!!), but eventually he hugged it like it's the most awesome thing in the world. Aww! ^_^
Sigh! The things I'd do for my niece and nephew... The joy and tribulations of an auntie. Hahaha!
