Baby Chich

It's a long story and I'd rather not get into details, but a few weeks ago I came up with another Stitch pattern. I know right? Another one. Like I said, long story. So to mix things up a bit, instead of crocheting the usual Disney experiment I thought to make a baby version of it. I can't recall if this was the first time I made an infant version of a character, but since it turned out right I guess I have a good knack for making cute things cuter. Nice!

Anyway, I used this pic for reference... I'm not sure if it's fan made or official Disney merchandise, but whoever made this I consider you my "ohana". Shishishi! ^^
Look at those big eyes. Don't they just break your heart? Aww! -^.^-

Since I took off with a baby theme, I might as well give it a ridiculous name... Baby Chich. Now isn't that "adowable"? Hahaha! ^^

So that's about it, my take on Stitch as a wee, cutie baby. I hope I did not disappoint. ^^

    1. Hi! I checked and you're right, there is a typo. It's supposed to be 3hdcinc, meaning 2 hdc in 1 st for 3 times. Sorry about that. Thanks for pointing it out. ^^

  10. Hi I am having a ton of difficulty in making the ears. I don't understand how there are only 9 chains and you work 18 stitches into it? I tried each loop on each side and because you start from the second chain I don't have enough loops to get to 18 and complete the round. Is there a step or something I'm missing? Trying to complete this for my niece's birthday in 3 days and I have struggled with this portion for weeks. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    1. No problem, just stay calm. I'll help you the best I can. ^^

Did you go around the chain? Did you do 2 increases after 6sc?

  14. Pues me quede atorada con las terminologias de algunas partes no se que es hdcinc, ni dcinc, ni hdc... mi stich esta incompleto, alguien pudo desifrar cual es el punto a hacer con esas terminologias?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sorry about the terminologies, but they are important as they keep patterns short and precise. Based on my experience following other artists' patterns, I would rather read short codes for stitches than read a whole paragraph. Unless it's a book, my brain refuses to understand long sentences when following a pattern so I had to come up with terms of my own to make it easier.

What part are you having a hard time with? I wouldn't really mind explaining. I'm always happy to help. ^^

    1. Hello. ^^ I checked and Rnd 8 of the leg doesn't seem to have any mistakes.

What are you having difficulty with? Count of rounds? Shape of the legs?

  18. hello so I have finished everything except the eye patches.. they are giving me a hard time... after I finish doing it I'm left with like 23 stitches but never 30.. I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing wrong..

    2. thank you I will recheck everything and let you know

    3. It might be in the parts where you do the increase for a double and half double stitch.

No problem. You can ask me any time. ^^
